Step 1: Create Your Google Search Console Property Go to: https://search.google.com/search-console/about Click Start Now and create a new property. You can click the “?” icon (top right corner) for guided help on property setup. Choose either: Domain Property (recommended), or URL Prefix After your property is created: Navigate to Sitemaps inside GSC. Copy your XML sitemap URLs from: Aegisify SEO → SiteMap Tab Submit your XML sitemap(s) inside Google Search Console. Step 2: Create OAuth Client in Google Cloud Console Go to: https://console.cloud.google.com/auth/clients/ Create a new OAuth 2.0 Client ID . Configure the following: Authorized JavaScript Origins https://yourdomain.com https://www.yourdomain.com Authorized Redirect URI https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=aegisseo&tab=search Once created: Copy the Client ID Copy the Client Secret You will need both values inside Aegisify SEO. Step 3: Verify API Credentials Go to: https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/credentials Confirm that your OAuth credentials are properly created and active. Step 4: Add Test Users (Required During Testing Phase) Go to: https://console.cloud.google.com/auth/audience Scroll to Test Users Click Add Users Add the Google account email you will use for authentication Final Step: Connect Aegisify SEO to Google Now return to your WordPress dashboard: Aegisify SEO → Search Console Tab Paste your Client ID Paste your Client Secret Enter your Property URL This should match the property created in GSC Most commonly: yourdomain.com Click Connect Google Account Select your Google account Click Continue Approve access when prompted If everything is configured correctly, you will be redirected back to Aegisify SEO and data will begin populating automatically. Where to View Your GSC Intelligence Once connected, navigate to: Aegisify SEO → SEO Ops Center You will now have access to: GSC Performance Data Schema Intelligence Search Stats CTR trend analysis Ranking volatility detection Query-level performance insights [/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

Authentication Pressure (24h)

Description: Tracks login successes, failures, and lockouts over time to show attack pressure on authentication. How it works: AegisShield counts auth events and plots them so you can spot brute-force waves and targeted user attacks. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → Dashboard. View “Auth Pressure (24h)”. Correlate peaks with Activity Log and Login Guard lockouts. Recommended setting: Enable MFA (especially for admins) and tighten lockouts if failures trend upward.

Top Hostile IPs (24h)

Description: Highlights IPs generating the most suspicious activity against your site in the last 24 hours. How it works: AegisShield aggregates events by IP (failed logins, lockouts, denied actions) to identify persistent attackers. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → Dashboard. View “Top Hostile IPs (24h)”. Use Login Guard allow/deny tools (Pro) or firewall rules to block repeat offenders. Recommended setting: Block repeat attacker IPs if they’re stable; avoid blocking CDN/ISP ranges accidentally.

License Activation & Updates

Description: Connects AegisShield to your license to unlock Pro features and receive updates. How it works: The license page validates your license key/domain with the licensing service and enables Pro-only UI and update metadata when active. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → Settings, License & Updates (or License). Enter your license key and activate. Confirm Pro indicators show as enabled. Recommended setting: Activate on exactly one domain per license; keep the license email consistent with your purchase email.

Growth Alert Additional Emails

Description: Adds additional recipients for DB growth alerts. How it works: growth_email_addresses supports multiple addresses so teams can be notified. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → DB Tools → Settings. Enter additional emails (comma/space separated). Save changes. Recommended setting: Add at least one backup recipient to prevent missed alerts.

Growth Alert Primary Email

Description: Sets a primary email recipient for DB growth alerts. How it works: growth_email is used as the default recipient when thresholds are exceeded. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → DB Tools → Settings. Enter Growth Email. Save changes. Recommended setting: Use a monitored security/ops inbox rather than a personal address.

Growth Threshold (MB)

Description: Sets the growth threshold that triggers alerts when monitoring is enabled. How it works: growth_threshold_mb is compared against size deltas between snapshots to detect abnormal growth. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → DB Tools → Settings. Set Growth Threshold (MB). Save changes. Recommended setting: 100MB is a good start; tune based on typical weekly growth.

Weekly Optimization Scheduler

Description: Automatically optimizes tables on a weekly schedule (Pro). How it works: weekly_optimize triggers a maintenance job that runs optimization and stores last_optimize timestamps. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → DB Tools → Settings. Enable weekly optimization. Save changes. Recommended setting: Enable for sites with heavy logging/ecommerce; disable if your host already optimizes frequently.

Description: Repairs corrupted tables and checks table integrity. How it works: DB Tools can run REPAIR/CHECK operations to correct issues and restore integrity. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → DB Tools. Run a check/repair on affected tables. Review output for errors. Recommended setting: Repair only when issues are detected; investigate repeated corruption for hosting/storage problems.

Description: Optimizes tables to reclaim space and improve query performance. How it works: DB Tools runs OPTIMIZE TABLE (where supported) and records events for auditing. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → DB Tools. Select table(s) or run optimize action. Confirm completion and check performance. Recommended setting: Run during low-traffic windows; always back up before major DB operations.
