Recommended setting: Run a full Malware Scan after any major update or suspicious behavior; review Integrity changes weekly.

How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → Dashboard. Open the “Core Health Metrics / System Health” panel. Update core/plugins/themes when flagged. Recommended setting: Maintain WordPress core and plugins/themes updated; minimize admin accounts.

Module Status Indicators

Description: Shows which AegisShield modules are active, configured, and reporting (or need attention). How it works: Each module reports its operational state (enabled/disabled, last run, or missing configuration) so the dashboard can highlight gaps. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → Dashboard. Locate the module status section/cards. Enable/configure any module marked as needing attention. Recommended setting: Keep core protection modules enabled (Login Guard, File Integrity Monitor, Malware Scan, Security Headers) for best coverage.

Security Overview Summary

Description: A high-level snapshot of your site’s security posture, combining recent events and detected risks into a single view. How it works: AegisShield aggregates module signals (Login Guard, File Integrity, Malware Scan, Security Headers, DB Tools) and recent activity into summary cards so you can spot problems quickly. How to access / configure: WP Admin → AegisShield → Dashboard. Review the overview cards (Score, Alerts, Recent Events). Use the module cards/links to jump directly to the module that needs attention. Recommended setting: Check the Dashboard daily; investigate any new critical alerts immediately.

Description: Allows manual robots.txt directives. Logic: Custom rules are appended after generated rules. Access: WP Admin → AegisSitemap → Robots → Custom Rules. Recommendation: Use only when necessary.

Robots Directory Exclusions

Description: Blocks directories from crawler access. Logic: Disallow rules are generated for each defined path. Access: WP Admin → AegisSitemap → Robots → Excluded Directories. Recommendation: Block admin, search, and temporary paths.

Description: Applies safe default crawl optimizations. Logic: Blocks low-value URLs based on Google best practices. Access: WP Admin → AegisSitemap → Robots → Optimization. Recommendation: Enable on most sites.

Write Physical robots.txt File

Enable Robots.txt Management
