AEGISIFY REFUND, CANCELLATION, AND BILLING ADJUSTMENT POLICY

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This Policy explains when purchases may qualify for a voluntary Aegisify refund, how subscriptions may be canceled, which charges are generally nonrefundable, and what happens to licenses, SaaS access, reports, stored information, and bundled benefits after a refund.
This Policy does not eliminate any refund, cancellation, withdrawal, conformity, warranty, rescission, charge-dispute, or other right that cannot lawfully be waived.
1. COMPANY AND LEGAL ENTITY
This Policy applies to Products and Services sold directly by Aegisify, Inc. and any applicable Aegisify affiliate identified in the customer’s checkout page, receipt, invoice, Order, subscription, or signed agreement.
For purposes of this Policy, “Aegisify,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the applicable contracting Aegisify entity.
The exact registered entity name must be confirmed before publication. If the contracting business is an LLC rather than Aegisify, Inc., the correct legal name must be used consistently across this Policy, checkout, invoices, payment accounts, Terms of Use, End User License Agreement, Privacy Policy, and customer contracts.
2. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY
This Policy may apply to eligible purchases of:
- Aegisify Audit subscriptions and SaaS access;
- Aegisify WordPress Agent-connected services;
- Aegisify Core and suite-management services;
- Aegisify Shield;
- Aegisify WAF;
- Aegisify Backup;
- Aegisify SEO;
- Aegisify SiteMap;
- Aegisify Links;
- Aegisify Spam or Spam Guard;
- Aegisify SMTP;
- Aegisify Ticket;
- Chue License Manager and related licensing services;
- WordPress plugin licenses;
- SaaS plans, bundles, upgrades, add-ons, storage, reports, scans, AI services, APIs, and usage-based features;
- Professional, consulting, migration, recovery, debugging, development, and support services; and
- Other current or future Products sold directly by Aegisify.
Free Products do not involve a purchase price and therefore do not qualify for a monetary refund.
3. DOCUMENTS THAT GOVERN A PURCHASE
A purchase may also be governed by:
- The checkout page;
- An accepted Order or invoice;
- A signed enterprise agreement;
- A statement of work;
- The Terms of Use;
- The Terms of Service and End User License Agreement;
- The Privacy Policy;
- A Product-specific offer; and
- Mandatory applicable law.
If a signed agreement or Order expressly contains different refund terms, that document controls for the applicable purchase.
If an Aegisify checkout page clearly promises a refund period longer than the period in this Policy, the longer period will apply to that transaction.
A marketing page, blog, advertisement, or informal communication does not shorten the refund period shown in the accepted checkout or Order.
4. DEFAULT 14-DAY VOLUNTARY REFUND GUARANTEE
Unless a different policy is clearly disclosed and accepted at the time of purchase, Aegisify provides a voluntary 14-calendar-day refund-request period for an eligible original purchase made directly from Aegisify.
The 14-day period begins at the date and time the transaction is completed, as shown in Aegisify’s or the payment provider’s transaction record.
A request is timely when it is submitted through an approved refund-request method before the applicable period expires.
This voluntary refund guarantee is separate from, and does not replace, mandatory consumer rights.
5. WHAT IS AN ELIGIBLE ORIGINAL PURCHASE?
Subject to the exclusions in this Policy, an “Eligible Original Purchase” generally means:
- The customer’s first paid purchase of the applicable Product or subscription plan;
- A first paid License for the applicable Product;
- A first paid SaaS subscription for the applicable plan;
- A first-time purchase of an eligible bundle;
- An eligible paid upgrade, limited to the additional upgrade amount; or
- Another purchase expressly identified as refund-eligible at checkout.
Aegisify may treat purchases made by the same person, Account, organization, parent company, affiliate, related business, payment method, Authorized Domain, administrator, or substantially similar customer as the same customer for purposes of preventing repeated refund use.
6. REASON FOR THE REQUEST
A customer requesting a refund under the voluntary 14-day guarantee is not required to provide a reason for ordinary dissatisfaction.
Aegisify may invite feedback, but providing product feedback is optional and declining to provide feedback will not by itself make an otherwise eligible request ineligible.
Aegisify may still request information reasonably necessary to:
- Locate and verify the transaction;
- Confirm the requester’s identity and authority;
- Determine the applicable Product and refund period;
- Determine whether the charge was original, recurring, duplicate, fraudulent, or unauthorized;
- Determine whether a Product-specific exception applies;
- Review prior refunds or payment disputes;
- Investigate suspected abuse;
- Prevent payment fraud; or
- Comply with law, payment-provider requirements, accounting obligations, and sanctions requirements.
7. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
A refund request may be submitted through:
- The available refund or billing function within the customer’s Aegisify Account;
- An official Aegisify support or billing form;
- A support ticket; or
- Email to support@aegisify.com.
The request should include:
- The customer’s name;
- The Account email address;
- The transaction or order number;
- The applicable Product or subscription;
- The purchase date;
- The Authorized Domain, if relevant; and
- A clear statement that a refund is requested.
Aegisify may require the request to be submitted from the Account email address or may use another reasonable verification method.
8. AUTHORIZED REQUESTERS
A refund request must be submitted by:
- The purchaser;
- An authorized Account owner;
- An authorized billing administrator;
- An authorized representative of the purchasing organization; or
- Another person who provides sufficient evidence of authority.
Aegisify may delay action until the requester’s authority is reasonably verified.
9. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND CANCELLATION
Canceling a subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions.
Unless applicable law or an accepted Order provides otherwise:
- Cancellation prevents future automatic renewals;
- Cancellation does not automatically refund the current billing period;
- Access generally continues until the end of the paid billing period;
- The customer remains responsible for usage-based and separately incurred charges;
- Unused time is not converted into cash or credit; and
- The customer is responsible for exporting eligible information before access ends.
A subscription accepted online may be canceled through the direct online cancellation method made available in the Account or through another legally compliant electronic cancellation method.
Aegisify may require reasonable Account authentication, but will not intentionally create unnecessary steps that obstruct or delay cancellation.
A customer may also contact support for assistance, but support contact will not be the exclusive cancellation method when applicable law requires online cancellation.
10. RENEWAL CHARGES
Subscription and License renewals are generally nonrefundable after the renewal charge has been properly authorized and processed.
This general rule does not apply where:
- A renewal was charged after a timely and properly completed cancellation;
- The charge was duplicated;
- The charge was unauthorized;
- Aegisify failed to provide a legally required renewal or fee-change notice;
- Aegisify did not obtain legally required consent;
- A mandatory cooling-off or renewal-cancellation right applies;
- The Product was materially nonconforming and mandatory law provides a remedy;
- Aegisify expressly promised a renewal-refund right; or
- Aegisify approves an exception in writing.
Canceling after a renewal normally prevents the following renewal rather than reversing the current renewed term.
11. FREE TRIALS AND FREE-TO-PAID CONVERSIONS
A trial that does not require payment information will not create a paid subscription unless the customer later affirmatively purchases a paid plan.
A trial that requires payment information will convert to a paid subscription only under the terms clearly disclosed and affirmatively accepted by the customer.
Where required, Aegisify will disclose:
- The duration of the trial;
- The date or event that triggers payment;
- The amount and frequency of future charges;
- The renewal period;
- The cancellation method; and
- How to avoid being charged.
If a customer timely cancels before an authorized trial conversion but is charged because of an Aegisify processing error, Aegisify will correct the charge.
12. PROMOTIONAL AND DISCOUNTED OFFERS
Refunds for promotional purchases are based on the amount actually paid, not the undiscounted list price.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- A coupon or promotional code is not redeemable for cash;
- A used coupon is not automatically restored after a refund;
- A promotional bonus may be revoked when the qualifying purchase is refunded;
- A discounted first term may renew at the price disclosed at checkout; and
- A customer may not combine multiple refunds, promotions, or trial offers to obtain repeated free access.
13. UPGRADES AND DOWNGRADES
An eligible upgrade refund is ordinarily limited to the additional amount paid for the upgrade.
A refund of an upgrade may:
- Return the Account to its previous plan;
- Reduce domain, user, storage, scan, AI, report, API, support, or feature entitlements;
- Remove added Licenses or bundled benefits; and
- Make information exceeding the lower plan’s limits unavailable or subject to deletion.
A downgrade generally takes effect at the next billing period and does not produce a retroactive refund or credit for the current term unless otherwise stated or required by law.
14. BUNDLES AND INCLUDED PRODUCTS
Aegisify may include WordPress suite Licenses, plugins, services, storage, scans, support, or other benefits as part of an Audit subscription or other bundle.
When the primary purchase is refunded:
- All included or promotional entitlements may be revoked;
- Associated Product Licenses may be deactivated;
- Hosted access may end;
- Support and updates may end;
- Promotional storage or usage allowances may end; and
- Information exceeding any remaining free entitlement may become subject to deletion.
A bundle is generally refunded as a single purchase rather than through separate component refunds unless the checkout or Order lists independently priced components.
15. USAGE-BASED, METERED, AND CONSUMABLE SERVICES
The following charges are generally nonrefundable once consumed or performed, when the limitation was clearly disclosed before purchase:
- Usage-based charges;
- AI tokens, credits, or processing;
- API calls;
- Additional scans;
- Additional report generation;
- Data-processing charges;
- Storage or backup consumption;
- Data transfer or bandwidth;
- Email or SMTP usage;
- Third-party pass-through services;
- Additional users, domains, Agents, or resources already provisioned and used; and
- Other metered resources.
Unused prepaid credits may be refundable only when expressly stated in the applicable Order or required by law.
Credits, promotional balances, and non-cash allowances have no cash value unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. SCANS, REPORTS, AND SECURITY SERVICES
One-time scans, assessments, reports, exports, or similar deliverables are generally nonrefundable after processing has started or the report has been generated, downloaded, viewed, delivered, or made available, if that limitation was clearly disclosed before purchase.
This may include:
- Public or external scans;
- Agent-assisted scans;
- SAST-style reviews;
- DAST-style reviews;
- API scans;
- Authenticated scans;
- WooCommerce or commerce reviews;
- Vulnerability reports;
- Code or dependency analysis;
- Log analysis;
- AI-assisted analysis;
- PDF, CSV, XML, or similar reports; and
- Other one-time security deliverables.
Ordinary use of features included within a refund-eligible subscription does not automatically eliminate the voluntary refund right. However, Aegisify may deny the voluntary guarantee where there is evidence of fraud, repeated refund behavior, unauthorized scanning, bulk extraction, resale, excessive use materially beyond reasonable evaluation, or another material Terms violation.
Mandatory legal remedies remain unaffected.
17. AI-ASSISTED FEATURES
Charges for completed AI processing are generally nonrefundable once the processing has occurred, except where:
- The charge was unauthorized or duplicated;
- The AI function was not delivered;
- Aegisify approves a correction;
- The applicable Order provides otherwise; or
- Mandatory law requires a remedy.
Dissatisfaction with an AI-generated answer does not by itself create an unlimited refund right because AI output is probabilistic, may require human review, and is subject to the disclaimers in the Terms and EULA.
18. DIGITAL DOWNLOADS AND SOFTWARE
Downloadable software, premium files, proprietary rule sets, digital reports, or other digital content may be subject to special refund and withdrawal rules.
Where legally permitted and clearly disclosed, a consumer may be asked to:
- Request immediate supply or performance;
- Expressly consent to delivery beginning during an applicable withdrawal period; and
- Acknowledge that beginning delivery may affect or end a statutory withdrawal right.
Nothing in this section removes a mandatory right concerning defective, materially nonconforming, misdescribed, or unavailable digital content or services.
19. OPEN-SOURCE SOFTWARE AFTER A REFUND
Some Aegisify software components may be distributed under the GNU General Public License or another open-source license.
A refund does not revoke rights that an applicable open-source license grants and that cannot legally be revoked through this Policy.
However, after a refund, cancellation, or termination:
- Paid SaaS access may end;
- Premium hosted functions may end;
- License keys and Agent security keys may be revoked;
- Paid updates, intelligence, support, storage, reports, and integrations may end;
- Proprietary components must no longer be used except as otherwise licensed; and
- The customer may not represent a modified or unsupported version as an official licensed Aegisify Product.
20. PROFESSIONAL, CUSTOM, AND SUPPORT SERVICES
Professional and custom services are generally nonrefundable after work begins.
These services may include:
- Custom development;
- Custom debugging;
- Code review;
- Compatibility work;
- Migration;
- Restore or recovery assistance;
- Database work;
- Malware investigation;
- Incident-response assistance;
- Security consulting;
- Performance tuning;
- SEO consulting;
- Custom configuration;
- Training;
- Enterprise onboarding; and
- Other separately scoped services.
Unless a statement of work provides otherwise:
- Fees for completed work are nonrefundable;
- Fees for reserved or committed personnel may be nonrefundable;
- Nonrecoverable third-party costs are nonrefundable;
- Unperformed prepaid work will be handled under the applicable statement of work and law;
- Deposits may be applied to work, preparation, reserved capacity, and incurred costs; and
- Failure to obtain a desired result does not automatically create a refund right where Aegisify performed the agreed services.
21. ENTERPRISE AND NEGOTIATED AGREEMENTS
Enterprise, government, reseller, partner, agency, volume, custom, or negotiated purchases are governed by their signed agreements and Orders.
Unless the signed agreement expressly provides otherwise, enterprise and negotiated fees are non-cancelable and nonrefundable.
This Policy does not override a refund, service-credit, termination, acceptance, or payment provision in a signed agreement.
22. THIRD-PARTY MARKETPLACES AND RESELLERS
This Policy applies only to purchases made directly from Aegisify.
A purchase made through:
- An application marketplace;
- A WordPress marketplace;
- A hosting provider;
- A reseller;
- An agency;
- A payment platform acting as merchant of record; or
- Another third party
may be governed by that seller’s refund and cancellation procedures.
Aegisify may assist where practical but cannot issue a refund for funds it did not receive or control.
23. DUPLICATE CHARGES
If the same transaction is charged more than once because of a verified billing or processing error, Aegisify will correct the duplicate charge.
A duplicate-charge request should be submitted promptly and include the applicable transaction information.
Two charges for different Products, billing periods, Accounts, domains, add-ons, or usage are not necessarily duplicate charges.
24. UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS
A customer who believes a charge was unauthorized should notify Aegisify and the applicable payment provider promptly.
Aegisify may:
- Secure or suspend the Account;
- Revoke affected credentials;
- Request identity or transaction verification;
- Investigate Account activity;
- Provide records to the payment provider;
- Correct a verified unauthorized charge; and
- Take reasonable fraud-prevention measures.
A claim that a charge was unauthorized may be denied where records reasonably establish that the purchaser, Account owner, authorized administrator, employee, contractor, or other authorized representative approved or used the purchase.
This section does not eliminate rights under payment-card or electronic-payment law.
25. TAXES, CURRENCY, AND PAYMENT FEES
An eligible refund will ordinarily be calculated from the amount actually paid to Aegisify for the refundable item.
Applicable taxes will be refunded when required and when they are refundable through the applicable payment and tax systems.
Aegisify is not responsible for:
- Foreign-exchange differences;
- Currency-conversion fees;
- Bank fees;
- Card-issuer fees;
- International transaction fees;
- Payment-provider fees charged directly to the customer; or
- Changes in exchange rates between purchase and refund.
Aegisify will not deduct a fee from a consumer refund where such a deduction is prohibited by law.
26. REFUND METHOD
Refunds are normally issued to the original payment method.
Aegisify may use another lawful method when:
- The original method is no longer available;
- The payment provider requires another method;
- The customer and Aegisify agree in writing;
- A refund must be issued through a marketplace or merchant of record; or
- Applicable law requires another procedure.
Aegisify will not ordinarily issue a refund to an unrelated person, unrelated Account, different payment card, cryptocurrency wallet, or unverified bank account.
27. REVIEW AND PROCESSING TIME
Aegisify ordinarily attempts to acknowledge refund requests within two business days. This is an operational target and not a guaranteed service level.
Review time may depend on:
- Transaction verification;
- Identity or authority verification;
- Payment-provider information;
- Suspected fraud or unauthorized access;
- Product usage;
- Enterprise or third-party agreements;
- Chargeback status;
- Applicable legal requirements; and
- Information supplied by the requester.
After approval, Aegisify will submit the refund to the applicable payment provider within a commercially reasonable period.
Once submitted, the time required for funds to appear is controlled by the payment provider, card network, bank, financial institution, payment method, and jurisdiction. Aegisify cannot guarantee the posting date.
Aegisify will provide confirmation when the refund has been submitted or otherwise resolved.
28. EFFECT OF A REFUND
When a refund is approved, Aegisify may immediately or at the end of the applicable period:
- Cancel the associated subscription;
- Revoke the applicable License;
- Deactivate Agent or SaaS credentials;
- Remove paid features;
- Reduce the Account to a free plan, if available;
- End access to updates, downloads, reports, storage, AI functions, integrations, APIs, and support;
- Revoke bundle and promotional entitlements;
- Cancel unused credits;
- Remove additional users or domains;
- Restrict repurchase following repeated refunds or abuse; and
- Apply the Customer Data retention and deletion process described in the Terms and Privacy Policy.
The customer is responsible for exporting eligible reports, logs, configurations, backups, or other information before access ends.
Aegisify is not responsible for information the customer fails to export before a disclosed deletion or access deadline.
29. CUSTOMER DATA AND PRIVACY AFTER A REFUND
A refund does not require immediate deletion of every associated record.
Aegisify may retain information as reasonably necessary to:
- Process and document the refund;
- Comply with tax and accounting obligations;
- Prevent fraud and repeated refund abuse;
- Respond to chargebacks or legal claims;
- Maintain consent and transaction records;
- Protect security and service integrity;
- Enforce the Terms;
- Comply with legal retention requirements; and
- Maintain legally required suppression or audit records.
Customer Data, Security Data, scans, AI conversations, reports, logs, backups, and other information will be retained or deleted according to the Privacy Policy, Terms, applicable Order, Product settings, backup cycles, and law.
30. SERVICE OUTAGES AND SERVICE CREDITS
A temporary outage, maintenance period, third-party failure, Internet problem, hosting problem, payment-provider issue, search-engine change, AI-provider issue, or other interruption does not automatically create a refund right.
A refund or service credit may be available where:
- A signed service-level agreement provides one;
- An applicable Order provides one;
- Aegisify approves one in writing;
- The Product was materially unavailable for an unreasonable period and could not be corrected; or
- Applicable law requires a remedy.
Service credits are not cash and are not transferable unless expressly stated otherwise.
31. PRODUCT COMPATIBILITY AND CONFIGURATION
A refund is not automatically required because of:
- An unsupported WordPress, PHP, database, server, browser, host, theme, or plugin version;
- Custom code;
- A third-party conflict;
- Hosting restrictions;
- Incorrect configuration;
- Failure to follow Documentation;
- Unauthorized modification;
- Insufficient server resources;
- Failure to maintain backups;
- Use outside the documented scope; or
- A result that differs from the customer’s expectations.
An otherwise eligible customer may still use the voluntary 14-day guarantee, subject to this Policy.
32. FRAUD, ABUSE, AND REPEATED REFUNDS
Aegisify may deny its voluntary refund guarantee where there is reasonable evidence of:
- Fraud;
- Identity or payment misuse;
- Unauthorized scanning;
- License sharing or circumvention;
- Repeated refund-and-repurchase behavior;
- Use of multiple Accounts or organizations to obtain repeated trials or refunds;
- Bulk extraction of reports, intelligence, rules, content, or data before requesting a refund;
- Resale or redistribution of paid access;
- Abusive chargebacks;
- Material violation of the Terms;
- Malicious, unlawful, or deceptive use; or
- Other conduct intended to obtain substantial Product value without payment.
A denial of Aegisify’s voluntary commercial guarantee does not eliminate a mandatory statutory right.
33. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES
Customers are encouraged to contact Aegisify before initiating a chargeback so that billing errors, cancellations, duplicate charges, unauthorized transactions, or service concerns can be investigated.
A chargeback:
- Does not automatically cancel a subscription;
- May result in temporary suspension while the transaction is investigated;
- May result in License or service termination if payment is reversed;
- May require Aegisify to provide transaction, assent, Account, access, usage, cancellation, and communication records to the payment provider; and
- May restrict future purchases where there is evidence of fraud, repeated abusive disputes, or unresolved debt.
Aegisify will not retaliate against a customer merely for exercising a legally protected right to dispute an unauthorized, duplicate, or unlawful charge.
34. DISCRETIONARY EXCEPTIONS
Aegisify may, but is not required to, provide a refund, partial refund, account credit, extension, or other adjustment outside the standard policy.
Possible discretionary circumstances include:
- A verified duplicate purchase;
- An Aegisify billing error;
- A severe Product-blocking issue that Aegisify cannot reasonably resolve;
- Extended material unavailability;
- Exceptional personal circumstances;
- A mistaken purchase reported promptly before meaningful use;
- An unintended purchase of the wrong plan;
- A reasonable upgrade or migration adjustment; or
- Another circumstance Aegisify determines warrants an exception.
A discretionary exception:
- Does not create a precedent;
- Does not modify this Policy for another customer or transaction;
- Does not admit fault or liability;
- May be conditioned on License revocation, Account adjustment, or settlement of the affected transaction; and
- May be provided as a credit rather than cash where agreed and lawful.
35. CONSUMER AND INTERNATIONAL RIGHTS
Consumers in certain jurisdictions may have mandatory rights concerning:
- Cooling-off or withdrawal periods;
- Automatic renewals;
- Trial conversions;
- Cancellation methods;
- Defective or nonconforming digital content;
- Continuous digital services;
- Required software and security updates;
- Repair or correction;
- Price reductions;
- Contract termination;
- Refunds;
- Unauthorized payments; and
- Unfair contract terms.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or reduces a mandatory right that applies to the customer.
Where legally permitted, a consumer who requests immediate delivery of digital content or immediate performance of a digital service may be asked to expressly consent to that performance and acknowledge the effect on an applicable withdrawal right.
Business purchases made primarily for commercial or professional purposes may not receive consumer cooling-off rights unless applicable law or the accepted Order provides them.
36. VOLUNTARY GUARANTEE VERSUS STATUTORY RIGHTS
The 14-day voluntary refund guarantee is an additional commercial policy. It is not a statement that every customer has a statutory 14-day right in every jurisdiction.
The voluntary guarantee may contain reasonable eligibility conditions, but those conditions do not override:
- Non-waivable consumer law;
- A valid warranty remedy;
- A legally required refund;
- A right concerning unauthorized payment;
- A right arising from misleading or unlawful billing;
- A signed contractual remedy; or
- Another mandatory legal protection.
37. CONTRACTUAL REMEDY FOR ORDINARY DISSATISFACTION
Subject to mandatory law and any signed agreement, the refund process described in this Policy is the customer’s contractual money-back remedy for ordinary dissatisfaction with an eligible purchase.
This provision does not limit claims or remedies that applicable law does not permit the parties to limit.
38. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Aegisify may update this Policy to reflect:
- New Products or billing models;
- Changes to plans, subscriptions, bundles, usage, storage, AI, or professional services;
- Changes in law;
- Payment-provider requirements;
- Fraud-prevention needs;
- Operational improvements; or
- Clarifications.
The policy applicable to a transaction is generally the policy presented or incorporated when the transaction was completed, unless:
- The customer agrees to a later policy;
- A later policy is more favorable to the customer;
- The applicable subscription is amended or extended under the later policy; or
- Applicable law requires another result.
Material changes will be communicated through a reasonable method where required.

40. FINAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By purchasing or subscribing to a paid Aegisify Product, you acknowledge that:
- You reviewed the applicable price, term, renewal, cancellation, and refund information;
- Cancellation and refund are separate actions;
- Consumed services and professional work may be nonrefundable;
- Refunds may terminate Licenses, SaaS access, bundled Products, support, storage, reports, and other paid benefits;
- You are responsible for exporting eligible information before access ends;
- Open-source rights remain subject to their applicable licenses;
- Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected; and
- This Policy is incorporated into the applicable Aegisify Terms and purchase agreement.
