Find SEO Problems, Fix What Is Safe, and Keep a Way Back
Issues & Fixes in Aegisify SEO 2.9.4 combines bounded issue detection, one-page fixes, batch Fix Packs, AI-assisted metadata remediation, schema and redirect approvals, previewed internal-link actions, Evidence Timeline events, and rollback controls in one WordPress operating surface.

One Screen, Multiple Safety Boundaries
The tab mixes checks, diagnostics, suggestions, and write actions, but they do not all behave the same way. Knowing the boundary is the key to using it safely.

Start With Issues the Plugin Can Explain Directly
The main Issues table is intentionally narrower than a generic “SEO score.” It reports specific conditions from recent published content and the active schema validator.
Missing Meta Description Override
Aegisify flags content that has no saved _aegisseo_description override. Eligible rows expose an AI generation action instead of pretending a generic site-wide template is always the right page-specific description.
Thin Content Under 300 Words
Published content with body text below the current 300-word diagnostic threshold is flagged for review. This is not a statement that every page must exceed 300 words; utility pages, contact pages, product pages, and focused answers can have legitimate shorter formats.
Schema Validation Issues
The active schema resolver determines the current schema type and passes it through Aegisify’s schema validator. Missing or invalid required/recommended conditions are displayed alongside the content item rather than hidden behind a single score.
Recent Bounded Review
The current Issues table reports against a bounded recent set rather than claiming to be an exhaustive crawl of an unlimited WordPress installation. That keeps the admin workflow responsive and makes deeper diagnostic scans separate actions.
Batch Actions With Different Jobs—and Different Risk
A Fix Pack is not automatically a “fix everything” operation. Some packs write bounded metadata, some only scan and log, and some flag content for later work.
Duplicate Titles
The current pack examines up to 500 scoped published items, groups duplicate effective titles, and changes later duplicates by appending the content ID. Every changed Aegisify title is logged. This is deterministic collision removal—not editorial title optimization.
Missing OG Image
For scoped published content without a saved OG image and without a featured image, Aegisify can apply the configured default social image or site icon. It does nothing when no fallback asset exists.
Generate Meta Descriptions
Eligible missing/invalid descriptions can be processed as a resumable Pro background job. The job tracks total, processed, changed, flagged, last activity, errors, completion, and rollbackable events instead of forcing a long synchronous browser request.
Some Buttons Investigate; They Do Not Rewrite
This distinction matters because an SEO product should not “repair” a condition it has only partially observed.
Bounded Internal HEAD Checks
The broken-link scan reviews up to 80 recently modified published posts/pages/products and performs at most 50 internal link checks. It skips fragments, mailto/tel links, and off-site hosts, follows a bounded redirect count, and logs HTTP 4xx/5xx-equivalent failures or request errors as issue evidence. It does not rewrite the destination automatically.
Policy Reasons, Not Blind Reindexing
The noindex diagnostic reviews up to 500 recently modified public items and uses Aegisify’s indexing policy resolver to record noindex/nofollow/noarchive/nosnippet state, policy reason, permalink, and whether the noindex flag was manually saved. It does not remove noindex automatically because the directive may be intentional.
Flag Pages With No Detected Internal Reference
The orphan pack reviews up to 200 published pages and checks published post/page content for references to the page path. When no reference is found, Aegisify marks the page as an orphan candidate and logs the event. This is a heuristic flag, not proof that no internal link exists in menus, widgets, builders, templates, or dynamically generated navigation.
Flag Before Destructive Action
These diagnostics favor a review queue over automatic rewriting. That makes the output useful for editors and developers without allowing a partial crawler view to silently alter routing or indexing decisions.
Use AI Where Text Generation Helps—Leave Structural Problems for Review
The 2.9.4 AI remediation worker is bounded around metadata and image-alt conditions rather than pretending AI can safely repair every technical SEO problem.
The background remediation path can address eligible overlong titles, missing/invalid meta descriptions, and missing Media Library image alt values—including eligible unattached public Media Library files. It records titles changed, descriptions changed, alt values changed, decorative images preserved, flagged items, progress, and errors. Invalid or unavailable AI output is flagged and left unchanged rather than replaced with a deterministic fake “AI” result.
When remediation is scoped from a Bing Site Scan CSV, Aegisify recognizes supported issue categories such as meta-description problems, title too long, missing image alt, robots blocking, 4xx errors, duplicate canonicals, and H1 issues. But only safe metadata/alt cases are candidates for automated text generation. Theme, builder, server, robots, canonical-duplication, and H1-structure issues can be explicitly flagged for manual review.
Approve Schema, Redirects, and Internal Links Separately
Issues & Fixes is also the review queue for several Autopilot suggestions.
Schema Suggestion → Approve & Apply
If a content item has no locked Aegisify schema type and Autopilot has a supported recommendation, the page shows the proposed type plus its “why” evidence. The administrator approves the schema before it becomes the saved content-level choice. Once a schema type is saved, the row reports it as locked.
Redirect Suggestion → Approve or Dismiss
Pending suggestions show source and destination pairs. Administrators can enable the redirect or dismiss it. Suggestions do not become live routing rules just because Autopilot created them.
Internal Links → Preview Diff → Approve
Autopilot can suggest a bounded number of internal links based on the configured maximum. Before applying, the tab builds a safe preview/diff. Approved insertion is limited to safe text nodes and the current view states that up to three links are applied from this workflow.
Every Safe Write Should Leave a Trail
Aegisify maintains Recent SEO Events and rollback controls because SEO changes often need to be correlated with later search evidence.
Aegisify Can Reverse Its Known Metadata Changes, Not Time-Travel the Whole Site
A credible rollback claim must be scoped to changes the plugin recorded and knows how to restore.
Issues & Fixes maintains rollback support for recognized post-level SEO metadata and supported event families such as fix application, internal-link application, schema-related state, and Fix Pack events. A rollback can restore the prior stored value when the event contains the required old state and the current user has the necessary permission.
The recent-event area also supports filtering and selected-row rollback so administrators do not have to reverse changes one at a time. The implementation checks event type, object type, metadata key, permissions, and recorded prior values before exposing rollback. That validation is important on busy editorial sites where unrelated SEO events may appear in the same operational history.
That does not mean Aegisify can undo unrelated theme edits, page-builder revisions, external redirects, search-engine indexing, CDN state, database changes from other plugins, or changes made after Aegisify’s event. The value is narrower and more useful: when Aegisify performs a supported SEO write, it records enough structured history to make an explicit reversal possible.
Fix Search-Critical Problems Before Cosmetic Cleanup
Not every finding has the same business impact, and the tab does not claim otherwise.
Indexing, Routing & Broken Navigation
Unexpected noindex, broken important internal links, bad redirects, or structural crawl problems can affect discoverability and user journeys. Review the reason before changing anything.
High-Impression Metadata Opportunities
Missing or weak descriptions and overlong titles matter more when Search Console shows meaningful impressions. Pair Issues & Fixes with Search Stats or Evidence instead of optimizing every low-demand page equally.
Schema & Internal Relationships
Approve schema and internal links when they accurately describe the page and improve site/entity relationships. Do not add markup or links simply to increase a score.
Editorial Depth
Treat thin-content flags as prompts to inspect intent and usefulness. Expand only when more information improves the answer, not to hit a word-count target.
Move From SEO Findings to Controlled Remediation
Use Aegisify SEO to separate diagnosis, AI drafting, human approvals, logged changes, and rollback instead of treating every issue as a one-click rewrite.
Common Questions About Aegisify SEO Remediation
Does “Fix broken internal links” automatically change links?
The current Fix Pack runs a bounded internal-link diagnostic and logs failed links as evidence. It does not blindly replace destinations.
Does the noindex scan automatically remove noindex?
No. It records the resolved policy and reason because noindex can be intentional. The administrator should decide whether the underlying content/indexing policy should change.
Can AI SEO Help fix H1, robots, canonical, and server issues?
Those conditions can be recognized from supported evidence, but the AI remediation worker explicitly leaves structural/theme/server/robots cases for manual review rather than rewriting them blindly.
Can every change be rolled back?
No. Rollback is available for supported Aegisify event types and known metadata fields where the prior state was recorded. It is not a universal WordPress undo system.
Does a thin-content flag mean the page must be longer?
No. The current check uses a 300-word threshold as a diagnostic signal. Search intent, usefulness, page type, and completeness matter more than hitting a fixed word count.
